COLERAIN TOWNSHIP, Ohio -- Police on Friday night arrested a Colerain High School student in possession of multiple weapons at the school's football game against the Princeton Vikings, according to a Facebook post from Northwest Local School District.
Another student reported the weapons, district officials wrote, and administrators and police acted immediately.
"The student was placed in custody quickly without any imminent danger to any in attendance," according to the Facebook post. "In addition, several other youths attempted to flee from the scene but were stopped by police before leaving the grounds, questioned, searched and released."
The district did not publicize the student's name or the type of weapons they were carrying.
Officials wrote they were "thankful" for the student who reported the weapons as well as the district's partnership with police.
