CINCINNATI — Police previously searching for a "critical missing" man with a brain injury are now searching for his killer, according to Cincinnati Police Department.

Police say on Jan. 25, officers responded to the 1800 block of Forbus Street to investigate a report of a deceased person. First responders located the person, who has been identified as Chase Daniel Singer, previously reported missing. His death has been ruled a homicide by the Hamilton County Coroner's office.

Chase Daniel Singer, 36, was reported missing by his aunt who lives in Lancaster, according to police. She said she hasn't seen or heard from him in about three weeks. A neighbor reported that Singer left his therapeutic pet dog, which he usually never leaves, without food or water.

Singer, originally missing from the Westwood area, had a brain injury resulting from a childhood incident and it's unknown if he needs medication.

Police asked anyone with information to call Dispatch at 513.765.1212 or the CRIMESTOPPERS line at 513.352.3040.
