CINCINNATI — Cincinnati Fire Department investigators arrested a man Thursday in connection with a Westwood apartment blaze that killed one man in November.
First responders rescued one person after the Nov. 19 fire started in a common area of 3205 Gobel Ave. at about 7:30 a.m., Chief Tom Lakamp said. The man, who fire officials did not identify, succumbed to his injuries.
Two residents were also hurt when they jumped out of a window, and one firefighter sustained minor injuries.
Investigators arrested Jamal Rashid in connection with the fire and charged him with two counts of aggravated arson.
Rashid has been lodged in the Hamilton County Jail awaiting a court date.
