CINCINNATI — Police are looking for the car that a driver used to hit a 12-year-old girl on Friday.
Kenya Austin was crossing Ferguson Road in a marked crosswalk at about 7:28 a.m. Friday when a driver in an early 2000s maroon Pontiac Grand Am struck her, police said. The driver sped away after hitting her.
Keyna suffered serious injuries in the collision. Her mother, Asia Allen, said the impact snapped Kenya's femur in half.
She remains hospitalized at Cincinnati Children's Hospital Medical Center. Police said Kenya remains in "serious condition" Tuesday.
Police asked any witnesses to call the Traffic Unit at 513-352-2514.
