CINCINNATI — A woman died after injuries she received from a crash on Christmas Eve in West Price Hill, according to police.

The Cincinnati Police Department said Sherry Smith, 39, lost control of her vehicle near 4411 Glenway Avenue around 7 a.m. on Dec. 24 when she crossed the center line and struck another vehicle.

Police said Gail Duncan, 65, was a passenger in the vehicle that was struck, and she had serious injuries from the crash. First responders transported Duncan to the University of Cincinnati Medical Center, but she died from her injuries there.

Gladys Hutcheon, 58, was the driver of the vehicle that was struck, and she also had serious injuries from the crash. Hutcheon is at UCMC and is still being treated for her injuries.

Speeding and impairment seem to be factors in the crash, according to police.

The Cincinnati Police Department's Traffic Unit is still investigating this crash.
