CINCINNATI — Cincinnati police announced that one woman has died and another is in serious condition after a crash in West Price Hill on Thursday night.

At approximately 10:30 p.m., the Cincinnati Police Traffic Unit responded to the crash at 1815 Sunset Ave.

According to investigators, 57-year-old Charice Bartleson was driving a Honda Accord turning left from Guerley Road onto Sunset Avenue. She failed to yield to oncoming traffic on Sunset Avenue and was struck by a Cadillac SRX4.

Police said Bartleson died at the scene. A passenger in her vehicle was transported to University Hospital Medical Center where she is listed in serious condition. Both of them were wearing seatbelts at the time of the crash.

The driver of the Cadillac was not injured in the crash.

Neither excessive speed nor impairment are a factor in this crash, police said.

The Traffic Unit is continuing the investigation. Any witnesses to this crash are asked to contact the Cincinnati Police Department’s Traffic Unit at (513) 352-2514.
