CINCINNATI — A 12-year-old was shot multiple times Tuesday evening during a gunfight with a 14-year-old at a West End intersection, according to Cincinnati police.
Captain Doug Wiesman said two undercover officers with the Gun Crimes Task Force were in the area of Linn and Livingston streets when they witnessed the two juveniles shooting at each other just after 7 p.m.
The officers identified themselves and chased the 14-year-old for a short while before placing him in custody.
The 12-year-old was rushed to Cincinnati Children's Hospital with non-life-threatening injuries, police said.
Police also recovered two firearms from the scene. Their investigation is ongoing.
