CINCINNATI — Cincinnati Police have arrested a man in connection with the Jan. 2 shooting death of 19-year-old Jalen Shepard in Walnut Hills.
Police arrested 27-year-old Jermel Spencer on Jan. 7. He has been charged with Shepard's murder and is in the Hamilton County jail with a $500,000 bond.
Police said Shepard was shot on Beecher Street. When officers arrived, he was inside a vehicle parked on the road.
Shepard was taken to the University of Cincinnati Medical Center where he died from his injuries.
District 4 officers responded and the Homicide Unit is currently investigating, police said. They haven't released any information about a suspect.
