HAMILTON, Ohio -- Three puppers from Butler County will represent the Tri-State in the upcoming Puppy Bowl on Animal Planet.

Boomer, Teddy and Bubbles -- all alumni of Animal Friends Humane Society -- are all playing in Puppy Bowl XIV, the Hamilton rescue said on its Facebook page.

Boomer, a 14-week-old Chihuahua/Pomeranian mix, is the only starter of the group; he's playing for "Team Ruff," the Animal Planet website said.

Teddy will also rep Team Ruff and Bubbles is a backup for Team Fluff. Teddy and Bubbles are both terrier mixes.

Last year, husky mix Sable also started at Animal Friends Humane Society before she was drafted by Team Fluff.

Terrier mix Rugby -- also a product of Animal Friends Humane Society -- was in the running for Most Valuable Puppy in Super Bowl XII. Watch Ken Broo's sports report on the pup in the player below:

I think it's safe to say that the Animal Friends Humane Society program continues to produce quality "athletes." Scouts would be wise to keep an eye on these doggos for future drafts.

Puppy Bowl XIV airs Feb. 4 at 3 p.m. on Animal Planet. The game will also be covered via Twitter and Instagram, according to Animal Planet's website.
