CINCINNATI -- An upscale, locally-owned restaurant will open at the corner of Second Street and Joe Nuxhall Way this summer.
Galla Park will fill the space where Crave, a chain restaurant out of Maryland, once operated at The Banks.
The menu will be geared toward "New contemporary American cuisine with a worldly flair," along with an extensive wine and specialty cocktail list. Think steaks, short ribs, pork shank, seafood, a signature burger, flatbreads and salads.
Starters include items such as black truffle meatballs, pork belly bites and chorizo stuffed dates that will also be available late night at the bar.
"We are Cincinnati-based and recognize how special that corner is, as well as what it takes to resonate with the local customer," said Michael Mercer, with Galla Park owner Peerless Management Group. "We can't wait to open."
Peerless also operates Ivy on Walnut Street and Jekyll at Fountain Square, as well as two bars in Columbus.
The space at The Banks is 8,371 square feet. It has been vacant since Crave closed in September 2016.
