CINCINNATI — Police are investigating a shooting that left one man dead in South Cumminsville Wednesday afternoon.

District Three officers responded to a report of a shooting with a man unresponsive in a car on the 3800 block of Cass Avenue around 4:30 p.m.

Officers found 29-year-old David Norwood dead at the scene.

Cincinnati police have not released any suspect information.

Assistant Chief Paul Neudigate said Wednesday that police have seen an "inordinate amount of gun violence" in the last 28 days, some of the most violent days police have seen in the last four years.
