CINCINNATI -- Demolition of the historic Dennison Hotel building is underway.
Historic preservation activists and a nearby property owner had opposed the demolition, but a judge cleared the demolition to proceed in February.
The property owner, Columbua REI, has plans to redevelop the property as a mixed-use site.
The eight-story Dennison building had been built in the 1890s.
