Teen arrested in Knoxville, Tenn. for Cincinnati shooting that left man dead, woman hospitalized

CINCINNATI — A 14-year-old has been arrested in Knoxville, Tennessee in connection with a Sedamsville shooting that left one man dead and a woman in critical condition, Cincinnati police announced Thursday.

Police said around 3:35 a.m. Sunday, officers responded to Fairbanks Avenue for a shooting and found two victims. Police identified the man who died as 29-year-old James Hunter. The woman who was shot was transported to UC Medical Center in life-threatening condition.

Officers on scene said the incident started as a house party on Fairbanks Avenue and ended in a shooting.

On Thursday afternoon, Cincinnati police and the U.S. Marshals arrested a 14-year-old boy in Knoxville and charged him with Hunter's murder.
