Late-night television spent some time joking about -- then praising -- Cincinnati Wednesday night.

Sarah Jessica Parker, who grew up in Cincinnati and attended the School for Creative and Performing Arts, talked to Jimmy Kimmel about her acting start, saying her first gig came from an ad in her local paper.

"I was actually, at the time, living in Cincinnati, Ohio -- you know, a Mecca of entertainment," she joked. "But I shouldn't make fun of Cincinnati, and I really mean it, it's a fantastic city."

Kimmel also mentioned George Clooney's ties to the Queen City.

Parker said she grew up going to the ballet, symphony and theater in Cincinnati.
