FOSTER, Ky. — One person is dead after a head-on crash along the AA Highway in Pendleton County Thursday morning, Kentucky State Police said.
Police said the two-vehicle crash happened at the intersection of New Hope Road around 6:40 a.m.
KSP found that a driver in a 2001 Chevrolet Monte Carlo was driving northbound and crossed the median toward vehicles that were stopped to turn left onto New Hope Road. The Monte Carlo driver struck a 2018 Ford Transit Van head-on.
The driver of the Monte Carlo, who KSP said was a man but has not been identified, was pronounced dead at the scene, KSP said.
The van's driver and passenger were transported to UC Medical Center for non-life-threatening injuries.
The AA Highway was closed for approximately two hours after the crash.
