CINCINNATI — A 7-year-old girl was shot in the stomach Saturday evening while being caught in the crossfire of an argument that turned into an exchange of gunfire, Cincinnati police said.
The young girl was outside in the courtyard area of an apartment complex along Reading Road in North Avondale when the shooting occurred around 9:30 p.m.
The child was transported by the Cincinnati Fire Department to Cincinnati Children's Hospital where she is in stable condition, according to police.
Police did not say if anyone has been arrested in the shooting or if they've identified any suspects.
