CORRECTION: A previous version of this story incorrectly listed five teens as being shot since Tuesday of this week. Six teenagers have been shot this week over the course of five shootings.

A teenager is dead after an early morning shooting in North Avondale, according to police.

Police said they responded to a shots-fired call at 129 Glenridge Pl. around 1:20 a.m. Sunday. Upon arrival, police found Jeremiah Campbell, 19, dead from an apparent gunshot wound.

Campbell is the the sixth teenager to be shot in the Tri-State this week and the second to be killed. On Tuesday, police said a 12-year-old was hospitalized after a shooting involving a 14-year-old in the West End. On Wednesday, a 17-year-old was found fatally shot in a Lockland home, and two teens face multiple charges related to that shooting, including a count of reckless homicide. On Friday, shots were fired into a residence in Colerain Township where two teenagers were struck. On Saturday, police said a 16-year-old was shot in the leg on the 1300 block of Main St. in Over-The-Rhine.

Cincinnati City Council member Christopher Smitherman called on community members to come forward with information on Campbell's death.

An investigation into the shooting death is ongoing. Anyone with information is asked to call (513) 352-3542.
