NEWTOWN, Ohio — Several train cars derailed Tuesday afternoon, closing Newtown Road between Valley Ave. and State Route 32, according to a news release from the Newtown Police Department.
Update: ATFD onscene of a confirmed trail derailment. Multiple cars are off the track, but upright. NO hazmat or public safety concerns.

All the train cars are upright, and there is no hazardous material involved. No one was injured.
Church Street reopened to traffic by 10:15 p.m.
