CINCINNATI — Impairment and excessive speed appear to be factors in a fatal one-car crash on Reading Road Sunday evening, according to Cincinnati police.
A front-seat passenger, Dia Thomas, 32, died after the car crashed into a traffic light post about 8 p.m. on Reading north Dorchester Avenue, police said.
The driver, a 27-year-old man, was going south on Reading, lost control and crossed over the double-yellow line before hitting the post. The driver and a 30-year-old man riding in the back seat were transported to University of Cincinnati Medical Center. Neither had life-threatening injuries.
The three occupants were not wearing seatbelts.
Police ask anyone with information about the crash to call the Traffic Unit at 513-352-2514.
