CINCINNATI — Clifton Pierson, 65, has been charged with second degree felonious assault after allegedly stabbing a woman in the face and upper back Monday night.
Court documents say Pierson walked up to the woman with a black pocket knife and stabbed her in the left side of her face and upper left area of her back.
Cincinnati Police responded to the assault, which occurred near Government Square at approximately 10:22 p.m. Monday evening.
According to police, the victim's injuries are not life-threatening, but she was transported to University of Cincinnati Medical Center for care.
Pierson was found by police near the scene, and was arrested before being charged with felonious assault.
He appeared in court Tuesday morning, and a judge set his bond at $250,000.
