CINCINNATI — A man was behind bars and charged with murder after police arrested him in connection with a fatal quadruple shooting in East Westwood earlier this month.

Cincinnati police said officers arrested 31-year-old Anthony Rosemond, Jr. on Saturday, accused of shooting 24-year-old Jonathan Austin to death during what police called a “gun battle” on the 2300 block of Baltimore Avenue near the intersection of Baltimore, McHenry and Hawkins on Dec. 8.

Police said more than 20 rounds were fired during the incident. Three others were injured in the shooting.

This East Westwood intersection was the scene for multiple, multi-victim shootings in 2015. It was the sight of two back-to-back shootings in a single night in May, which resulted in four people wounded. Another shooting at the same intersection left another person injured just two days later.
