CINCINNATI — A man was arrested in Cincinnati Monday in relation to a double homicide near Chicago in 2016, according to officials.
The DeKalb County Sheriff's Office in Illinois said in a release that 51-year-old Johnathan Hurst was arrested by the Cincinnati Police Department at his home on Lloyd Place Monday afternoon. He is being charged with two counts of first-degree murder in the deaths of Patricia Wilson and her son Robert Wilson in 2016.
According to the sheriff's office, deputies responded to the Wilsons' house in Sycamore, Illinois, which is west of Chicago, on Aug. 15, 2016, where they found the Wilsons. Investigators said the Wilsons had died from blunt force trauma the night before their bodies were found.
Deputies with the Hamilton County Sheriff's Office are holding Hurst at the Justice Center, where he is waiting for extradition.
