Judge finds Franklin man guilty of creating child porn of toddler

CINCINNATI -- A federal judge found a Franklin, Ohio, man guilty of creating child pornography of a toddler.

Jason Fletcher, 41, recorded cellphone videos of himself molesting the victim while Ciera Richter, 25, of Cincinnati, held and moved the victim, the Department of Justice announced.

A probation officer discovered the videos during a visit related to Fletcher's previous conviction for importuning a minor and other crimes. Under the terms of his probation, he wasn't allowed to possess any pornography, officials said. He was also a registered sex offender as a result of the previous conviction. The probation officer discovered a collection of child pornography on Fletcher's phones, including the videos he recorded.

A grand jury indicted Fletcher and Richter in December. Richter previously pleaded guilty to one count of conspiracy to produce child pornography.

On Monday, U.S. District Judge Susan Dlott found Fletcher guilty of conspiracy to produce and production of child pornography.

Officials said the crimes generally come with a sentence of 15 to 30 years in prison. Fletcher faces 35 to life in prison because of his prior convictions for sex crimes involving children.
