CINCINNATI — A person has been indicted for the 2019 murder of an Avondale woman.
Hamilton County Prosecutor Joseph Deters announced the indictment of 33-year-old Joshua Gibson for the murder of 27-year-old Paige Jones. Gibson is charged with two special felony counts of murder and one weapons charge.
The charges relate to an Aug. 2019 incident where police responded to reports of gunfire near the 3500 block of Burnet Avenue. When they arrived, police learned Jones had been shot and transported by a private vehicle to UC Medical Center where she later died of her injuries. Gibson was arrested and charged the following week.
If convicted, Gibson could face 18 years to life in prison.
