CINCINNATI — One person is dead after a double-shooting near north I-71 Sunday evening, according to police.
The Cincinnati Police Department said 34-year-old Micaela Stevenson was one of two shooting victims found in a crashed car off of the Martin Luther King Drive exit of north I-71 Sunday evening.
Officers with CPD said they responded to the 1800 block of Duck Creek Road around 8:10 p.m. Sunday for a call about shots fired. Officers then received more calls about a wrong-way crash on north I-71.
When officers got to the crash, they found Stevenson and another shooting victim inside the vehicle.
First responders transported both victims to the University of Cincinnati Medical Center, but Stevenson died from her injuries. The other victim is still in critical condition, according to police.
The investigation closed the Martin Luther King Drive exit of I-71 for several hours Sunday night and into Monday morning. The exit was reopened early Monday though.
Police have not released any information about potential suspects, and the Cincinnati Police Department’s Homicide Unit is investigating the incident.
