CINCINNATI – A pair of “code red” situations caused lockdowns at the Hamilton County Justice Center Saturday, deputies said.
First, the jail was locked down at about noon because of a fight between two inmates.
Then the jail was locked down again at about 3:30 p.m. because of a disturbance with an inmate in the psychiatric ward.
The lockdowns lasted about an hour each, forcing guards to tighten security and keep visitors out.
Deputies said the lockdowns typically only happen a few times each month.
