CINCINNATI — A driver died after hitting a bridge support Friday.
Thomas Gall, 68, was driving a 2004 GMC Envoy north on Spring Grove Avenue at about 7:10 p.m. when he went left-of-center and hit a bridge pier, Cincinnati police said in a news release.
Gall was not wearing a seatbelt at the time of the crash. EMS drove him to University of Cincinnati Medical Center in critical condition. He died while being treated there.
Investigators don't believe speed was a factor in the crash. They don't know if impairment was a factor.
The Traffic Unit is continuing to investigate the crash. Police asked any witnesses to call 513-352-2514.
