CINCINNATI — Anyone familiar with tracking down a Lyft or Uber driver on a busy street may appreciate the new pickup and drop-off area now in place during specific hours at The Banks.
Passengers can be picked up or dropped off between 11 p.m. and 3 a.m. Thursday through Sunday, the city announced via a tweet on the Roadmap Cincy Twitter page.
The zone is located on both sides of Freedom Way between Joe Nuxhall Way and Rosa Parks Street.
Vehicles can stay in the zone for only 10 minutes, so the idea is to get ride-share vehicles through the area quickly. It also means no parking on the street during that time.
The area is part of the Cincinnati Mobility Lab, a long-term partnership between Uber and the city to reduce congestion, the tweet said.
