CINCINNATI — A 22-year-old man died after he was shot in Downtown Cincinnati Wednesday night, according to police at the scene.

Officers with the Cincinnati Police Department responded to the intersection of Walnut and East 8th streets Wednesday around 8:45 p.m. for a shooting. When officers arrived on scene, they found 22-year-old Keshawn Turner suffering from a gunshot wound.

First responders transported Turner to the University of Cincinnati Medical Center, but he died at the hospital.

Not long after officers responded to the shooting, officers arrested 25-year-old Quantez Wilcox and charged him with murder for the death of Turner.

A Hamilton County judge is scheduled to arraign Wilcox Thursday at 9 a.m.
