CINCINNATI — A six-year-old child is in critical condition at Cincinnati Children's Hospital following a two vehicle crash Saturday, according to police.
Police said at approximately 12:15 p.m. Saturday afternoon, Darryl Williams, 40, was driving a Chevrolet pickup north on Hamilton Avenue when he drifted left of the center line and collided head-on with Cory Dixie, 34, in her Chevrolet Malibu.
A six-year-old child was in the back seat of Dixie's car when the crash occurred.
Neither Dixie, nor the six-year-old were wearing their seat belts at the time of the crash.
Dixie was transported to University of Cincinnati Medical Center, where she is in stable condition. The child in her vehicle, who was not in a child safety restraint or wearing a seat belt, is in critical condition at Cincinnati Children's Hospital.
Williams sustained minor injuries and did require medical attention.
According to police, excessive speed is not a factor in this crash, and impairment is unknown at this time.
