CINCINNATI — A Friday night shooting claimed one life and temporarily shut down Hamilton Avenue in both directions as police investigated the scene.
Officers at District 5’s nearby headquarters heard a series of gunshots around 7 p.m., according to an officer who responded.
They discovered one victim with multiple bullet wounds, who was pronounced dead at the scene.
Police identified the victim as 28-year-old Giavanni Penman. Authorities did not immediately provide information about a possible suspect.
