CINCINNATI — Fun, colorful and sweet drinks are on the menu at the brand new Fantasy Drink Lounge in Clifton. The bar opened on the corner of Warner and Clifton in early September, and its owner promises customers can expect a taste of whimsy when they visit.
“Our fishbowls are called the Shark Attacks,” Rashad Kyte said on Friday. “We have other drinks called Purple Reign and the Fantasy Bombs.”
Rashad and Airyes Kyte had been trying to open the bar for two years. The finished product offers a futuristic vibe with a light-up bar, light-up chairs and drinks garnished with candy.
“They love it,” said Airyes Kyte. “They love the atmosphere, the vibe and they love the drinks a lot.”
But with COVID-19, there are still rules and restrictions.
“We have to check your temperature,” said Kyte. “As long as your temperature is below where it's supposed to be, then you are fine to come in, but you have to have your mask on.”
Pandemic restrictions have also limited the menu the couple offers and the number of people they allow in the lounge at one time.
“At the end of the day, we are in this together,” said Kyte. “We want everyone to go back home to their families safe and healthy.”
