CINCINNATI — Cincinnati police responded to a fatal crash in Clifton Wednesday afternoon.
According to CPD, the crash happened around 3:24 p.m.
Police shut down the intersection of Central Parkway and Ludlow Avenue for several hours after District 5 officers confirmed a fatal crash in the area.
Police said a 53-year-old man was driving a 2009 Dodge Nitro north on Central Parkway when he drove across the center line, hitting a guard rail and a utility pole.
Despite Cincinnati firefighter's attempt to perform life-saving measures, police said the man was pronounced dead at the scene of the crash.
CPD said both excessive speed and impairment are being investigated as possible contributing factors to the crash.
