CINCINNATI -- Baseball fans can get their hands on a piece of Cincinnati Reds history starting Wednesday.
More than 200 items are up for auction, including a Cincinnati Reds Hall of Fame memorial banner honoring renowned manager Sparky Anderson -- and a “Crosley Field Remembered” cardboard sign.
The Cincinnati Reds partnered with Cincinnati startup Everything But The House, an online estate sale and secondhand goods marketplace, for the auction which continues until Aug. 21.
Other items up for grabs include furniture from Great American Ball Park and old displays from the Reds Hall of Fame & Museum.
To bid on an item online, create an account with Everything But The House. Enter your bid, be sure to review the shipping and pickup options for a particular item and decide if you want bid notifications about the item.
Some of the proceeds from the auction benefit the Reds Hall of Fame & Museum’s 150th Anniversary Legacy Campaign. Next year, the museum will honor and celebrate baseball’s first professional team, the 1869 Red Stockings.
Items from the auction will come with a certificate of authenticity from the Reds Hall of Fame & Museum as well.
