CINCINNATI — Forty-three-year-old Scott Surgener pleaded guilty Tuesday in U.S. District court to sexually exploiting a minor.
Court documents said Surgener engaged in sexual conduct with a minor in his home while the victim, who is under the age of 13, was in his care at child sleepovers. He produced 28 videos and images of the exploitation.
A sentence of 20 years in prison is recommended as part of the plea.
Surgener was charged by a federal complaint in Oct. 2019 and has been in custody ever since.
