CINCINNATI - A firefighter tested positive for COVID-19, according to Matt Alter, IAFF Local 48 president.
The firefighter worked in District 1, Alter said, but they aren't disclosing which firehouse for privacy reasons. He said the firehouse will be deep cleaned by a contractor, but the firefighter who tested positive has already been in isolation.
Alter said the firefighter was "doing well, on tail end of recovery" Saturday night.
As of Saturday, four Cincinnati Police officers had also tested positive for COVID-19 and were in varying states of recovery and isolation.
