CINCINNATI -- Now 16, twin sisters Emma and Amy Bushman started their Bake Me Home charity at just 7 years old in 2008 (with a little help from their mom) to help moms and kids at a local homeless family shelter.

The sisters have branched out since then provide tote bags filled with oatmeal chocolate chip cookie mix and baking supplies to families at shelters and food pantries in Hamilton, Clermont, Butler and Warren counties to "make the world a better place one cookie at a time."

"Our goal is not just to have them bake some cookies one time, but to have them be in the kitchen together more and have that experience," Emma said.

The teenagers even ship baked cookies to our country's service members overseas and provide cookies for veterans on honor flights to Washington. They say about 600 volunteers each year help make their work possible.
