BLUE ASH, Ohio -- Hundreds of lions roamed the streets of Blue Ash today for a good cause - Ursuline Academy's eighth annual Run for the Lions 5K race.
“It’s a really big deal for us, for the Ursuline community and I think it’s even become a really good event just for the Blue Ash community and everybody else in the area and people love to come out," said Ashley Enyeart, Ursuline Academy director of alumnae relations. "We have about 400 runners this year, which is great, and hopefully it will just grow and grow each year.”
Proceeds go to support students who can't pay for their tuition at the private girls' school, and it gives teachers an extra boost through the school year.
The morning started with mass and wrapped up with an awards ceremony in the school theater.
