If you're free all day Tuesday and could use an extra $181.50, the Hamilton County Board of Elections could use your help.

They're still hiring precinct election officials (better known as poll workers) for the Nov. 7 election, but workers must attend a training on Saturday at the board of elections facility in Norwood.

The biggest needs are for Republican workers in Cincinnati, Norwood and Deer Park and Democratic workers in Anderson Township, Whitewater Township and Harrison, according to Sherry L. Poland, director of elections.

Poll workers earn $181.50 (includes training, Monday set-up and Election Day). You must be a registered and active voter in Hamilton County and you cannot have a felony conviction.

For more information, please go to the board of elections website here or contact their PEO department at 513-632-7041 (Democratic) or 513-632-7042 (Republican).
