A 76-year-old driver crashed her car through the wall of a CVS store in Silverton Wednesday afternoon, the sheriff’s office reported.

Marietta R. Cunningham told deputies she lost control as she was driving through the parking lot and accelerated, going through the south side of the building at the corner of Montgomery Road and Plainfield Road about 4:30 p.m.

Neither Cunningham nor her front-seat passenger, 58-year-old Althen Dangerfield, of Baltimore, Maryland, was injured, according to a release. No one inside the CVS was hurt either.

The Deer Park/Silverton Fire Department and an engineer with the Hamilton County Building and Inspection Department examined the building and determined it was structurally sound. The CVS will remain open during repairs, according to the sheriff's office.

The crash remains under investigation by the sheriff’s Traffic Safety Unit.
