CINCINNATI — One person is dead and another individual was injured in a crash early Thursday morning in Clifton, the Cincinnati Police Department said.
The coroner identified the victim who died as 36-year-old Amanda Campbell.
The crash happened at approximately 4:15 a.m. in the 3600 block of Clifton Avenue.
CPD said an individual was driving south in a 2015 Chevrolet Equinox when they "lost control" and hit a utility pole.
One individual and Campbell were taken to the University of Cincinnati Medical Center, CPD said.
Campbell died at the hospital.
Police did not say who was driving the vehicle.
The other victim's condition has not been released at this time.
Police are investigating whether or not seat belts were used and if excessive speed and impairment were factors.
