WASHINGTON TOWNSHIP (CLERMONT COUNTY), Ohio -- Two people were killed in a crash on US 52 Tuesday afternoon.
Miranda Cracraft, 19, of Fayetteville, was driving a 2008 Mazda 3 eastbound on US 52 east of Neville with a passenger, 24-year-old Carson Hall of Georgetown, according to the Ohio State Highway Patrol.
At about 1:45 p.m., the Mazda went off the right side of the road, then re-entered the road and traveled left-of-center, where it collided with a westbound 2008 Freightliner truck, troopers said.
The impact caused extensive damage to both vehicles, troopers said. Cracraft and Hall were both pronounced dead at the scene.
The truck driver, a 49-year-old Chesapeake man, was driven to University of Cincinnati Medical Center. Troopers didn't immediately provide an update on his condition.
The crash remains under investigation.
