MONROE TWP., Ohio — Two people are dead after a head-on crash on SR-222, south of Crane Schoolhouse Road in Monroe Township, according to the Ohio State Highway Patrol.
According to OSHP, at around 2:20 p.m. Saturday afternoon, a 2003 Ford Ranger driven by 33-year-old Jennifer Oliver of Cincinnati crossed the center line on SR-222 and crashed head-on into a 2009 Honda CRV driven by 67-year-old Michael Marshall, of Winchester, Ohio.
Officials said Marshall was declared dead at the scene of the crash; Oliver was transported to the University of Cincinnati Medical Center, but later died from her injuries.
The crash remains under investigation by the Batavia post of the OSHP. They have not confirmed whether impairment may have played a part in the crash.
