UNION TOWNSHIP, Ohio – A 3 ½-hour SWAT standoff in Clermont County ended without incident Sunday, according to Union Township police.
Police said they were called to a residence in the 400 block of Stonecreek Way for a welfare check. A man inside indicated he was alone, he had a weapon and he wasn’t coming out, so the Clermont County Special Response Team was called to assist.
At 3:40 p.m., the man was taken into custody by the Clermont County Special Response Team without further incident, according to a news release.
The man's name has not been released. He was transported to the Clermont County Jail and charged with aggravated menacing and inducing panic.
