MILFORD, Ohio — All Milford Exempted Village Schools are on a two-hour delay Thursday after police arrested an armed suspect near Boyd E. Smith Elementary.
Miami Township Police arrested the suspect on the 1700 block of Cottontail Drive Thursday morning. The man was wanted in connection to threats made against a family overnight near Bobby Court.
Residents had been asked to remain inside Thursday morning as officers and police canines searched the area near Branch Hill to Cottontail to Cook Road.
All schools will be open Thursday on a two-hour delay schedule, officials said.
“The all district delay is due to Junior High and High School students bus stops near the Boyd E. Smith area. Students who have been dropped off at the junior and high school are in the school and they are safe,” school officials said on Facebook.
