GOSHEN TOWNSHIP, Ohio -- Florence police arrested a man Wednesday afternoon in connection to a homicide in Goshen Township.

Goshen Township police were called to a residence on Norma Lane at 4:51 a.m. where they found a woman dead "of unnatural means," according to Chief Bob Rose. On Wednesday afternoon, they identified the victim as 35-year-old Natasha Marie Wilson of Blanchester.

The man charged with her murder, 38-year-old Steven Todd Mages, was arrested in Florence, nearly an hour away from the scene. A caller had begun trailing Mages' car, believing him to be a suspect they had heard about, according to Florence police Capt. Tom Grau.

Nearby officers took over the pursuit and followed a fleeing Mages from I-75 southbound to Oxford Hills Drive, where he stopped his car and allowed himself to be arrested.

Mages stands charged with murder and felonious assault in connection to Wilson's death, according to the Goshen Township Police Department.

Mages has previous convictions, including multiple domestic violence charges, charges of menacing, unlawful sexual contact with a minor and assault, according to court records. All crimes were committed in Clermont County.

If you have any additional information on Wilson's death, call Goshen police at 513-722-3200.
