BURLINGTON, Ky. -- The suspect in a Goshen Township homicide decided to waive extradition back to Ohio after some initial hesitation.
Steven Todd Mages, 38, is charged in the death of his pregnant girlfriend, Natasha Wilson, 35, in Goshen early Wednesday morning. Police said Mages took off after Wilson's cousin called police. Mages was arrested several hours later in Florence.
"If I sign then I just go back to Ohio, right?" Mages asked in court Friday.
"If you sign, you voluntarily agree to go back to the state," the judge told him.
Mages is charged with murder and felonious assault in Clermont County. Charges against Mages in Kentucky were dismissed.
Police haven't revealed the cause of Wilson's death, only saying that it was "unnatural."
Mages has previous convictions, including multiple domestic violence charges, charges of menacing, unlawful sexual contact with a minor and assault, according to court records. All crimes were committed in Clermont County.
If you have any additional information on Wilson's death, call Goshen police at 513-722-3200.
