AMELIA, Ohio -- The West Clermont Local School District reports a crash involving one of its busses was "very minor."
According to the district, the bus was taking students to West Clermont Middle School around 6:45 a.m. Tuesday when another driver struck the bus from behind near the intersection of Amelia-Olive Branch Road and Judd Road.
Some students reported headaches, neck or back pain and were taken to the hospital as a precaution. The school bus was not damaged in the crash.
In a written statement, the district thanked staff members and first responders for the "swift" response to the crash:
"The safety and wellbeing of our students is our top priority. We will continue to check in with all of the students that were on the bus involved in the accident to make sure they are okay. Thank you to our staff and our first responders for the swift and appropriate action to ensure the safety and wellbeing of our students."
