WOODLAWN, Ohio — A woman was shot and killed in the Village of Woodlawn Thursday evening, according to the Hamilton County Sheriff's Office.
Officers with the Woodlawn Police Department responded to reports of a person shot at 10267 Panola Dr. Thursday a little before 8 p.m. When officers arrived on scene, they found Tracey Ford-Hammons, 58, suffering from multiple gunshot wounds.
First responders transported Ford-Hammons to the University of Cincinnati Medical Center where she later died from her injuries.
Village of Woodlawn Police Chief Aaron Tillman III requested the sheriff's office to help in the investigation.
Witnesses told investigating officers they saw a man leave the scene of the shooting shortly after it happened, but there is no word on whether or not this person is a suspect at this time.
