DAYTON, Ky. — An armed robbery at Family Dollar in Dayton, Ky. led to a police chase and ended in a car crash at Lafayette Ave. and Fairfield Ave. Saturday evening, according to police.
Dayton police chief David Halfhill said Howard Reed Jr. robbed a Family Dollar in Dayton, Ky. at gunpoint and stole an undetermined amount of cash. Police pursued Reid down Lafayette before he crashed into another driver.
Police were able to arrest Reid after the accident, but said they are still looking for the gun he used in the robbery.
There is no word on the official condition of the driver in the other vehicle, but Campbell County dispatch said overall injuries in the accident were minor.
